The Palazzo De Felice is the ruin of a palace on the north bank of the Pescara River in the center of the municipality of Rosciano in the Province of Pescara .

history

The tower

The oldest part of the palace consists of a large tower with a square floor plan, around which the village has developed in a ring. The tower, which presumably dates from the 13th century, must have served as a guard and defense tower. In the centuries that followed, it was rebuilt and redecorated several times, particularly when the palace of Felice di Casale was added.

Today the tower and the palace are owned by the municipality of Rosciano and inside it is planned to house a museum dedicated to the Arbëresh tradition , because in Rosciano there is an Albanian community that was formed there in the 18th century, as well as a Byzantine church from Villa Badessa shows.

description

The two pointed arch windows in the walls of the tower indicate its medieval origins.

A palace with a rectangular floor plan is attached to the tower. It has two floors and the tower is integrated.

The palace is currently in ruins, but renovation work has just begun.
