Palazzo Duodo a Sant'Angelo is a palace in Venice in the Veneto region of Italy . It is located in the San Marco sestiere with a view of Campo Sant'Angelo .
history
The palace was built in the 15th century, probably on behalf of the Duodo family , but it may have passed to them after the Zen family had it built. It remained in the family that gave it its name until the end of the 19th century and was then sold on several times.
In 1801, when the palace was being used as a hotel, the famous Neapolitan musician Domenico Cimarosa died there .
In the 20th century the Palazzo Duodo a Sant'Angelo became the local seat of the Ministry of Labor; In 1986 it was sold to the Eni company. In 2006 it was converted inside for use as an office and put up for sale again in 2014.

The Palazzo Duodo a Sant'Angelo has three full floors and a mezzanine floor , is kept in a Gothic architectural style and shows a facade with classical materials: Laterizio and limestone from Istria .
On the ground floor there is a Gothic portal, the main floor is an elegant six compartment opens keel arched windows , set in a marble frame , as well as the four individual windows on the sides.
The second floor with smaller windows shows a triple window in the middle.
There is an old fountain in the middle of the courtyard.
