Palazzo Priuli Bon

Palazzo Priuli Bon is a palace in Venice in the Veneto region of Italy . It is located in the Santa Croce sestiere with a view of the Grand Canal between Campo di San Stae and Palazzo Duodo .

history

The building was built at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries and was owned by the noble Priuli family . A temporary exhibition is now housed on the ground floor.

description

The peculiarity of this building is certainly that it is the transition from the Venetian- Byzantine style, recognizable in the vestibule on the ground floor, which is now partially walled up but clearly characterized by the arches, to the Gothic , visible in the five- keel arched window with balcony in the first Main floor, shows as an example. One of the arches of the vestibule now forms the portal to the water, which sits slightly to the left of the central axis. The other openings in the facade are simple and rectangular. The building is plastered and painted red-brown.
