Pamela Spence (born February 25, 1973 in Heidelberg ), briefly called Pamela , is an artist of Turkish rock music .

youth

Born in Germany, grew up in the United States and Great Britain, the daughter of an American and a Turkish woman, learned Turkish at the age of 15 and played supporting roles in various Turkish TV series. In her youth she took part in various musicals and attended the artistic-musical academy of the Hacettepe University in Ankara .

Career

Spence's musical interest led her to various English-language projects in the US such as: B. Monkey Business, Pam's Band, Durul Gence and Friends, and Panik Atak. In 1998 she returned to Turkey and took on the role of the leading actress in the Istanbul musical "Atları da Vururlar" (Horses are also shot), which convinced her to stay in Turkey and get involved musically. Pamela only appeared in front of the masses in 2002 as part of a chewing gum commercial; at the same time she was an accompanist for Turkish rock musicians (e.g. Teoman Yakupoğlu ) and got a record deal with İmaj Müzik.

She released her first album in mid-2002, whose first single "Ayrılamayız Biz" became a big hit. She then toured Turkey, which increased her popularity.

She received recognition in the Turkish music scene with her second album Şehir Rehberi with the hit "İstanbul", which was also broadcast on MTV.

In 2005 she received the Turkish Music Prize from Kral TV for İstanbul as the best Turkish song of alternative music or rock music.

In 2006 she released her third album "Cehennet".

She speaks English and Turkish.
