Panorama Bahn (Silvretta Montafon)
The Panorama Bahn is a monocable gondola with 8-person cabins in the Silvretta Montafon winter sports area in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg .
Construction and route
The lift was built in 2014 within five months, so that it could start operating in the 2014/15 winter season. It connects the Kapellalpe (valley station) with the Kreuzjoch (mountain station) and runs over the Sennigrat (2300 m above sea level). It replaced the two-seater Kreuzjochbahn chairlift and reduced the travel time from the new valley station to the new mountain station from 40 to 8 minutes. The valley station of the train is located between the Kapellbahn mountain station and the Seebliga valley station. The mountain station is located below the Hochjoch and the mountain station of the Hochalpila Bahn on the Kreuzjoch in the municipality of Schruns . From there you have access to the slopes on the Grasjoch and via the Grasjoch Bahn and St. Gallenkirch to the other part of the winter sports area, Silvretta Nova.
The valley and mountain stations come from the pool of the Floriade Bahn, which was operated in the Dutch town of Venlo in summer 2012 . The construction cost around 12.5 million euros and was financed by the bank for Tyrol and Vorarlberg . For the work on the mountain, companies from the region were mainly used.
