Josef Weinberger Music Publishing Center Vienna
The Weinberger Musikverlagszentrum is an internationally active music publisher in Vienna , in which a number of other publishers have merged.
In 1885 Josef Weinberger (1855–1928) founded his music publishing company in Vienna, which within a few years developed into one of the leading companies in the branch. Josef Weinberger also played a decisive role in founding the Austrian collecting society AKM in 1897 .
Friends of Emmerich Kálmán , among others , Josef Weinberger made a name for himself early on as a publisher of operetta composers, and the publisher later included Franz Lehár in its program, as he took over the Glockenverlag.
There is also a collaboration with the publishers of the same name in London and Frankfurt a. M. The following publishers are represented in the Weinberger consortium:
