Papan
Papan (* 1943 in Hamburg ; actually Manfred von Papen ) is a German cartoonist .
Career
After completing an apprenticeship as a bookseller , von Papen went to Berlin, where he worked as a conductor , night watchman and prop master at the Schaubühne on Halleschen Ufer .
In 1968 the first drawings appear in Die Zeit , in the Süddeutsche Zeitung and in Stern . From 1972 he drew exclusively for the star. For many years, his “Dingsbums” and “Der undressierte Mann” columns were among the most popular cartoon pages in the magazine.
Papan has published around 30 books. He has lived in Munich since 1999.
