papermoon films is a production company based on Winterfeldtplatz in Berlin-Schöneberg , whose focus is on the production of feature films and co-productions with international partners. papermoon operates as an independent production company that initiates, develops, finances and accompanies projects.
Company history
papermoon films was founded in 2006 by Dr. Oliver Thau and Dorota Budna founded. After the omnibus film propios y extraños , which was created together with the Spanish partner Aquellare and the Berlin scopas Media AG, papermoon produced The Captain of Nakara , an African version of the Captain of Köpenick, together with the Kenyan company Blue Sky Films . In Germany, papermoon cooperates with Rialto Film and produced the multiple award-winning genre film Urban Explorer . Most recently, the children's film Mavi Bisiklet, sponsored by Eurimages , was made in coproduction with the Turkish company Drama Film Prodüksiyon .

Prices (selection)
The film Urban Explorer was awarded four prizes at the Screamfest in Los Angeles, the most prestigious genre film festival: best film, best editing, best leading actor and best make-up. In addition, Urban Explorer receives the award for the best screenplay and the award of the press at the Fantasy Horror Awards.
