Papyrus 56 (named after Gregory-Aland with Sigel 56 ) is an early Greek copy of the New Testament . This papyrus manuscript of the Acts of the Apostles only contains verses 1,1.4-5.7.10-11. Using paleographic methods , it was dated to the 6th or 7th century.

The Greek text of the Codex represents the Alexandrian text type . Aland placed him in Category II .

The manuscript is currently in the Austrian National Library under the shelfmarks Pap. Vindob. G. 19918 and G. 19927 kept in Vienna .
