Papyrus 84

Papyrus 84 (named after Gregory-Aland with Sigel 84 ) is an early Greek copy of the New Testament . This papyrus manuscript contains parts of the four Gospels . The verses Mark 2.2-5.8-9 have been preserved; 6.30-31.33-34.36-37.39-41 and John 5.5 17.3.7-8. It was dated to the 6th century using paleography .

The Greek text is likely mixed. He tends strongly to the Byzantine text type . Aland placed him in Category III because of his age .

The manuscript is kept in the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven Library (PAM Khirbet Mird 4, 11, 26, 27) in Leuven . The manuscript was published in 2003 by S. Verhelst in Le Muséon 116 pp. 15–35.
