Abbott Papyrus
The Abbott Papyrus is a papyrus from ancient Egypt . Like the Harris I papyrus, it contains negotiations on grave robbery. It dates to the 16th year of the reign of Ramses IX. , 20th Dynasty ( New Kingdom ).
The grave robber papyrus was named after a Dr. Abbott, who bought it in Cairo in 1857. Its origin is unknown. The 2.18 meter long and 42.5 cm wide papyrus is now in the British Museum in London under inventory number EA 10221 .
