List of papyri of ancient Egypt
The list of papyri in Ancient Egypt includes papyri in Egyptian language written in hieratic and demotic script, as well as Egyptian hieroglyphics . Papyri in Coptic, Greek, Aramaic, Arabic and other languages are listed in separate lists.

Content
The contents are varied and include, in addition to the Egyptian Book of the Dead and the King's List, various administrative documents such as invoices or documents from court proceedings, but also magical and medical texts, mathematical calculations, literary narratives, life lessons, maps.
Designations
The individual papyri have received their different names or designations either from their buyer, discoverer or owner or from the respective place of discovery or storage. The documents are also named by specifying the storage location and additional numbering, such as “Papyrus Berlin 3048”.
