The Papyrus London 10059 (also Medical Papyrus London ) is an ancient Egyptian medical papyrus . It is dated to the end of the 18th dynasty (around 1350 BC) and is of unknown origin. After a donation from the Royal Institution of London , it came into the possession of the British Museum in 1860 .

The papyrus is 2.10 m long, 17 cm high and is in pretty poor condition. It consists of 19 pages with 61 texts, 25 of which are medical and the rest magical . Like the Hearst papyrus , it is a composite manuscript, but there are significantly more spells . Overall, various diseases are treated, including tumors , burns and blindness . A short section deals with gynecology . There is an interesting section that contains incantations on diseases in foreign languages ( Northwest Semitic and Cretan , apparently Minoan ), including the Asian disease . Many chapters show parallels to the Ebers papyrus .
