Hans Pluquet

Hans Pluquet (born October 13, 1903 to Adl. Wertheim in the Darkehmen district , East Prussia province ; † May 8, 1981 in Bremen ) was a German painter and draftsman .

biography

Pluquet was the son of a landowner and had a brother. He attended the secondary school in Insterburg . The family had contacts with the architect Hans Scharoun , who intensified Hans Pluquet's inclination for artistic creation. From 1921 to 1923 he studied at the Königsberg Art Academy and from 1924 to 1928 at the State Academy for Arts and Crafts in Breslau .

He initially created watercolors , gouaches and pen drawings , mainly of landscapes. His style was shaped by Expressionism and the New Objectivity . He increasingly made pen drawings and etchings .

In Berlin, Pluquet passed the examination as an art teacher . After that he traveled u. a. to Paris. From 1928 taught at secondary schools in Hamburg , Flensburg and Wandsbek . After four years in Rendsburg , he returned to Flensburg as a teacher in 1936. He took part in art exhibitions with pictures of people in his social milieu .

Since 1939 served Pluquet in the railway flak in the armed forces until he 1944 pulmonary tuberculosis ill. He also lived in Schleswig-Holstein after the war . In 1951 he moved to Neustadt (Bremen) , where he set up a studio in the Wallkaserne. He created book illustrations . Again he took part in various exhibitions. Since 1956 he created woodcuts in black and white and in color and increasingly he gave up representationalism. His watercolors and paintings show nesting. Wall designs were created in Bremen for the Rathscafé / Deutsche Haus , the Waterways and Shipping Directorate, the Parsevalstraße high school and the Halmer Weg school, among others . He made many pictures on trips to Algiers, Greece, Istanbul, Italy, France, Belgium and Sweden. Since 1960, he designed walls in the maritime school Bremerhaven , the construction and engineering school Bremen and in the hospital, Links der Weser . The woodcut of the Ostertorviertel was created from 1970 to 1973 .

Pluquet was born with the Bremen ceramist Elisabeth. Ulrich married.
