Papyrus Erlangen 2

Papyrus Erlangen 2 is a fragment of a papyrus sheet from the 6th or 7th century. It contains a liturgical text ( Theotokion ?) With quotations from Psalm 91.6  EU , Isaiah 53.7  EU and Ode 8 ( Daniel 3.57  EU ) in Greek .

The fragment is approximately 10 × 18 cm and 12 lines are incomplete on both sides. The orthography is irregular.

The fragment was acquired by the coptologist Carl Schmidt in Egypt and handed over to the Erlangen University Library in 1934 . The signature is Erl. P. Inv. 1.
