Papyrus Feinberg 1

The Papyrus Feinberg 1 (No. 842 after Rahlfs ) are five fragments of a papyrus codex from the 4th century. Two fragments contain parts from the 1st book Samuel 23 and 24 in Greek , the content of the other three fragments has not yet been identified. The text is written in somewhat irregular "large bible major". There are no accents, asperes or dots.

The manuscript may have been made in the southern Nile valley. In August 1966 she was found in Cairo . For some time it was at Columbia University in New York with the signature P. Feinberg 1. Since 2012 it has been offered for sale with other papyrus fragments.
