Parachinar
Parachinar is a Pakistani town in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan . Until 2018 it belonged to the tribal areas under federal administration (FATA). It is the largest location in the Kurram Agency , of which it is also the administrative center.

Parachinar is an average of 1,705 meters above sea level. It is located on the border with Afghanistan , where the Paktia Province is located. Parachinar is the place in Pakistan that is closest to the Afghan capital Kabul .
The top of the Peiwar Pass is about 20 kilometers east of Parachinar.

In the wake of the conflict in northwest Pakistan , a Shiite mosque was suicide bombed on February 17, 2012 , in which at least 21 people were killed and 45 injured after Friday prayers.
