Paralyzed Age is a German Gothic-Rock and Dark-Wave band.
history
Founded in 1991 with the original line-up of Marco Neumann, Stefan Kirsch and Michael Knust, the band released two MCs as well as the CD Nocturne and the EP Bloodsucker on the Glasnost Records label . The texts, inspired by stories by Bram Stoker and Edgar Allan Poe , often dealt with the subject of vampirism .
With this line-up, the band broke up in 1996. A compilation from the releases of this band phase was released in 1999 in the USA under the title Empire of the Vampire .
From 1998 Paralyzed Age played as a duo consisting of Michael Knust and Andrea Knust. With this line-up, two more albums were released on the American label Dancing Ferret Discs . Crüxshadows violinist Rachel MacDonnell also performed on Into the Ice .
In April 2019 Paralyzed Age released a new album called "Intermezzo".
