The Parc animalier des monts de Guéret is a 1.3 square kilometer French animal park in the Creuse department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region .

The zoo Les Loups de Chabrières located 5 kilometers south of Gueret in the Monts de Guéret 650 meters - more precisely in the de Forêt Chabrières belonging Bois de Sainte-Feyre . The Parc animalier des monts de Guéret was opened in 2001. It houses around 50 wolves who can roam freely in six enclosures. The largest enclosure has an area of almost two hectares. Other smaller enclosures house deer , roe deer , badgers , wild boars and foxes . The wolves include the white and black Mackenzie wolf , the white arctic wolf and the gray Eurasian wolf . The individual races are separated from each other.
The Communauté d'agglomération du Grand Guéret is responsible for the park .
In the entrance hall to the park there is a 250 square meter museographic area . The reception building forms part of a circular palisade ring, in which a small observatory is integrated on the left . Thematic exhibitions are shown inside the ring. The large Enclos des Roches enclosure can be seen from the southeast . From the observatory, there are circular routes that lead past the individual enclosures.
Not far from the park is the largest labyrinth in France, the labyrinth géant des Monts de Guéret .
Since it opened in 2001, the nature park has had over half a million visitors, 40,000 in 2012 and 42,000 in 2014. A further increase in the number of visitors is foreseeable.
Every year, students of French universities in biology and behavioral studies do their field studies in the nature park. The nature park also supports organizations active in European wolf protection such as FERUS and loup.org .
