Parc des Courtinals
Parc des Courtinals is a dolomitic rocky landscape in the Cirque de Mourèze valley basin in the municipality of Mourèze in southern France , 55 kilometers west of Montpellier .
The open air museum local was founded in 1989 and is based on excavations of the French State Office of Archeology under the direction of Professor Dominique Garcia , CNRS / University of Provence . The settlement of the castle-like complex was attested from the Middle Stone Age to the end of the Iron Age (350 BC). Several Gallic dwellings were rebuilt. The museum is open from April to October each year and is rated with two stars by Michelin .
