The Paritätische Wohlfahrtsverband Hamburg goes back to the year 1924 in Germany under the name Association of free private charitable welfare institutions in Germany. V. founded association.
In the year it was founded, its name was changed to Fifth Welfare Association .
The association supplemented the four existing organizations that were dedicated to welfare in the early 1920s .
Specifically, these were the Inner Mission , the Caritas Association , the Central Welfare Office for German Jews and the German Red Cross .
In 1932 the Fifth Welfare Association was renamed Paritätischer Wohlfahrtsverband .
The association was dissolved by the National Socialists in 1934. It was re-established as an association in September 1948 .
The Paritätische Wohlfahrtsverband Hamburg e. V. has belonged to the German Paritätischer Wohlfahrtsverband as a regional association since the 1920s.
