history
Today's Park & Bellheimer AG was created in 1995 through the merger of two regional breweries, the Park Brewery based in Pirmasens and the Bellheimer Privatbrauerei K. Silbernagel AG based in Bellheim, as well as Bellaris Mineralbrunnen GmbH , a subsidiary of the Bellheimer Brewery, which produces mineral water and alcohol-free Soft drinks produced.
In 1865 Johann Karl Silbernagel founded a brewery in Bellheim, which from 1923 traded as Bellheimer Brewery K. Silbernagel AG . The former Park Brewery emerged from a brewery founded in Zweibrücken in 1888 under the name Parkbrauerei Zweibrücken as one of the first public companies in Germany . In the same year the company merged with the Pirmasenser brewery Zum Park to form Parkbrauereien Zweibrücken-Pirmasens AG . After taking over further breweries in the two cities in 1897 and 1912, the company traded as Park- und Bürgerbräu AG . The headquarters of the now largest brewery company in the Palatinate was relocated to Pirmasens. The so-called “P-male” was created in 1938 as a company logo. In 1972 Park took over the Pfisterer brewery in Mannheim-Seckenheim , and in 1992 the Rheingönheim wheat beer brewery .
In 1995 the two breweries merged. Since then, the company has operated under its current name, Park & Bellheimer AG . After a company crisis, Mannheim-based Actris AG took over the majority of shares in Park & Bellheimer in 2004, under the leadership of the former SAP founder Dietmar Hopp . In 2010 the company (as well as the other Actris subsidiaries, the Mannheimer Eichbaum breweries and the Odenwald-Quelle ) were sold to former Actris managers as part of management buyouts . The main shareholders of Park & Bellheimer today are the sole director of the brewery, Roald Pauli (75.00% + 1 share) and his wife Sabine Pauli with 6.29%. The rest of the shares are in free float.
From 2009 to 2015, the Bellheimer Brewery was awarded the Federal Honorary Prize several times .

Park & Bellheimer AG's product range includes 19 types of dark and light, top- and bottom-fermented beers and mixed beer drinks, which are sold under the names Park, Bellheimer, Rheingönheimer and Valentins, as well as various non-alcoholic beverages via the subsidiary Bellheimer Mineralquellen : mineral water, fruit juice drinks , Juices, sparkling and non-carbonated soft drinks sold under the Bellaris brand.
