The Park Juliusruh is a park in the town of Juliusruh on the island of Ruegen . It is a late baroque complex with a rococo character .

The park was laid out on dune sand from 1795 by the founder of Juliusruh, Julius von der Lancken , in the last third of the so-called " Swedish Era ", that is, when Rügen belonged to the Kingdom of Sweden . After the complex was sold to Philip Karl Riekmann in 1803, the country house and the associated farm buildings quickly fell into disrepair, and the park became overgrown. In 1835 the city of Stralsund acquired the property. Since then, the park has been used as a spa park. The hunting lodge Juliusruh, built in 1795 on the northern edge of the park, was burned down and destroyed in 1945.

The park is divided from north to south by a central axis. The western part is divided into individual, mostly rectangular quarters. In the western part there is also a wall-like system that was used to accommodate the exotic plants to protect them from harsh westerly winds. The quarters are planted with linden trees from Sweden . Originally there were also roundels and pools in the park.

The park has changed many times over the years. Today, in the center of the western part of the park, which was once a square rose garden, there is a monument to Julius von der Lancken, which is bordered with beech hedges .

The path that exists today (east-west axis) was only laid out in 1844.
