Pirates massacre is a German direct-to-video splatter - pirate movie from the year 2000.
action
A mysterious monk lets pirates take him to a Caribbean island to look for a hidden dagger with a treasure map engraved on it. Upon arrival, the pirate captain informs him that he also knows about the legend about the dagger and asks the monk to share his knowledge of the hiding place with him. Then the monk swears by magical formulas hordes of habit carrying masked gunmen up and blows up the ship, which the crew and passengers have no choice but to escape into the interior of the island from their pursuers.
The masked fighters pursue the refugees, with both groups decimating each other in a series of fights. It also turns out that the masked are also cannibals who eat the meat and organs of their killed opponents and are expressly encouraged to do so by their leader, the monk.
The captain is captured and, with the help of the renegade cannibal Tia, is able to escape and is then killed by the pursuers. In the end sequence, Tia herself takes the dagger out of its hiding place and throws it into the sea in front of the monk's eyes. The monk jumps into the water to retrieve the dagger and is then eaten by a shark .

Pirate massacre enjoys a high level of awareness, which is not based on its cinematic qualities, but on their lack. A comprehensible plot or an arc of tension does not exist, all dialogues seem to be largely improvised, a recognizable character development or even only hinted character drawing of the acting persons does not take place and the incoherent events sometimes make no sense.
The film's weaknesses do not result from the script alone , but also from the poor and careless implementation. At the beginning of the film, the monk begins his journey by climbing a scaled-down replica of a cog , which is clearly located in a larger children's playground or in an amusement park. In the following scenes, which are supposed to depict his voyage, shots of two completely different modern sailing ships are cut together with others showing vacationers in swimwear on the deck of a sailing yacht in the Mediterranean Sea and images of a badly costumed pirate at the wheel of the playground cog, with himself in the background a tree is clearly visible.
The majority of the film takes place in an ordinary mixed forest , which bears no resemblance to a Caribbean island. Objectively speaking, all splatter scenes are extremely amateurish , as either red paint is simply sprayed onto the actors from outside the picture or the allegedly slashed victims press slaughterhouse waste against their bodies with their hands . Settings are reused multiple times, which causes axis jumps and connection errors.
Despite these shortcomings that characterize the entire movie and Trashfilm do is pirate massacre commercial production, originally from the video label Astro film on VHS released and later by Laser Paradise as DVD was launched again.
