Park Tae-bun

Park Tae-bun (born September 23, 1971 in Gyeongbuk , South Korea ) is a South Korean musician and solo double bassist with the Nuremberg Philharmonic .

Life

She was born in Gyeongbuk ( South Korea ). In her hometown she attended the music high school, where she was first taught the major piano and later the double bass major . She continued her education at Kemyong University; There she received a scholarship for the entire study period for the double bass subject. In 1994 she completed her studies in Korea with a diploma with distinction. In 1995 she came to Germany to complete her studies by attending a two-year master class with Klaus Trumpf in Munich and a further year of postgraduate studies in Nuremberg with Dorin Marc as a visiting student. During this time she was a member of both the Bavarian and the Munich Orchestra Academy, and later she herself was given a teaching position for double bass at the Munich University of Music. She has been the double bass player with the Nuremberg Philharmonic since 1999, and since autumn 2001 she has led the double bass section of this orchestra as principal double bass.

Park Tae-bun won numerous competitions, including a. the 1989 Korea National Music Competition (1st Prize), the 1997 International Double Bass Competition in Kromeriz, Czech Republic (1st Prize) and the International Double Bass Competition in Debrecen, Hungary (3rd Prize and Special Prize for the best interpretation by a contemporary Hungarian composer). In 1998 she received a diploma at the International Music Competition in Geneva , in Italy she was awarded a silver medal in 1999 at the 4th International Double Bass Competition "Giovanni Bottesini".

Since 1992 Park Tae-bun has given numerous solo concerts in Europe and Asia. a. she appeared several times as a soloist with the Kemyong Symphony Orchestra and the Korean Symphony Orchestra.

She celebrated great success with the double bass quartet Bassiona Amorosa , which has been proven by several CD recordings.

She also appears regularly in the field of chamber music , e.g. B. at the annual international chamber music festival in Nuremberg and the chamber concerts of the Philharmonie Nürnberg (eV).
