Dorin Marc

Dorin Marc (* 1958 in Romania ) is a Romanian professor for double bass at the Nuremberg University of Music .

Life

Marc studied at the University of Music in Bucharest with Professors Nicolae Popa and Ion Cheptea, among others . From 1981 to 1992 he was the solo double bassist in the Philharmonic of Cluj-Napoca ( Klausenburg ). From 1978 he was also the solo double bass player in the “Orchestra Internationale d'Italia”. He also ended this activity in 1992 when he joined the Munich Philharmonic . Six years later he became a lecturer at the Nuremberg University of Music, but did not give up his work in Munich. In 2003 he was appointed professor at the Nuremberg University of Music.
