Parler is a social microblogging platform based in the United States . It was founded in 2018 by John Matze and Jared Thomson. The French word parler for to speak is intended to refer to the concept of free speech .

Many users come from the right-wing camp, especially since Facebook , Twitter and Youtube changed their business policy in 2020 and delete particularly questionable publications from the right-wing milieu. Prominent members of the platform include:
