Parlet was an American funk band that consisted of Mallia Franklin , Jeanette Washington and Debbie Wright . Parlet is an offshoot of the P-Funk project Parliament , produced by George Clinton .

Mallia Franklin (1952-2010) was a background singer with Parliament and Funkadelic . She left Parlet in 1979 to found the music project Sterling Silver Starship with the musician Donnie Sterling.
