The Parque Megalítico de Gorafe in the valley of the Gor, north of Granada in Andalusia in Spain , is one of the largest concentrations of megalithic complexes in Europe with around 240 dolmens . It is one of the necropolis of Gor: Fonelas , Panoria , Huélago, Laborcillas and Pedro Martinez in the Rio Fardes river basin.

The oldest prehistoric finds in the region date from the Middle Paleolithic (more than 30,000 years ago), while the Gorafe megaliths are around 5,000 years old and dated to the Neolithic .

198 of the approximately 240 large stone graves in Gorafe and the surrounding communities were examined. The importance of the park lies not only in the number of monuments, but also in the architectural diversity of the pentagonal, square, polygonal, rectangular and trapezoidal structures.

During the excavations, numerous grave goods were found which show that a large part of the graves was used in the late Neolithic (2800–2600 BC) or early Copper Age (2400–2200 BC). Bracelets, flint knives , idols, ceramic vessels, arrowheads, rings and human bones as well as necklaces made of bones, metals, shells and stone were found in the dolmen .

A prehistoric settlement from the Bronze Age was discovered next to the dolmen .
