The Parsons Peak is a 460 m high mountain on the north coast of South Georgia . It projects the south at Stromness Bay lying Breast Point on.
Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations mapped it in 1929. It is probably named after the Parsons Marine Steam Turbine Company from Newcastle upon Tyne , whose drives were used in the dinghies for geodetic survey work during the Discovery Investigations.
