Parthiva Sureshwaren (born February 21, 1980 in Chennai ) is a former Indian automobile racing driver . He competed in Formula 2 from 2010 to 2012 .

Career

Sureshwaren celebrated his first success in motorsport in 1998 when he won the Indian saloon car championship. He also was in the winter championship of the British Formula Ford made his debut in Formula racing . In 1999 he was active for half a season each in the Indian Salooncars Championship and in the Indian Formula Maruthi. In 2000 he competed in Formula Asia 2000 and won the runner-up title in this series. In 2001 he moved again to Europe and started in the national class of the British Formula 3 Championship and ended the season in 11th place in the overall classification. In 2002 he took part in three races of the North American Barber Dodge Pro Series and finished 26th overall at the end of the season.

After Sureshwaren had not done professional motorsport for a few years, he returned to motorsport in the A1GP in winter 2006/2007 and competed in two races for the Indian team . He then competed in the Asian Formula Renault V6 and finished eighth overall with second place as the best result. In the following winter of 2007/2008 he was rookie driver for the Indian team in the A1GP and again took part in two races.

After Sureshwaren had inserted a break again, he moved in 2010 in the Formula 2 . After the sixth race weekend, he got out and finished 21st overall at the end of the season. In 2011 Sureshwaren took part in Formula 2 again. He did not appear at an event. He remained without points in the season. In 2012 Sureshwaren contested his third Formula 3 season. After the first half of the season, he got out of the series. He was again without points.
