The Partij voor Naastenliefde, Vrijheid en Diversiteit (PNVD, German Party for Charity, Freedom and Diversity ) was a Dutch political party that was officially founded on May 31, 2006 . It dissolved itself on March 14, 2010 because it failed to obtain the 570 required support signatures for the June 2010 general election .

Because of its main claim, the lowering of the age of consent for sexual acts to 12 years, the party was commonly referred to in the Dutch press as the "pedophile party" . The PVND itself wanted to be called an "anti-religious party" instead .

All three known members are openly committed to pedophilia . Party founder and treasurer Ad van den Berg has a criminal record in 1987 for molesting an eleven year old. Party secretary Norbert de Jonge was forcibly de-registered from the University of Nijmegen in 2006, where he was a student of special education .

Demands of the party

The PNVD was founded for the legalization of sex between adults and children from the age of 12 (as in 1985–2002, since then: 16 years), legalization of all drugs and exhibitionism as well as against a possible criminalization of zoophilia . The party also advocated a completely secular state and education, more civic participation, the abolition of marriage in the legal sense and a ban on the consumption of fish and meat .

The party wanted to anticipate the possible effects this could have by providing more information and education.

Participation in elections

The PNVD did not take part in any election. The intention to take part in the 2006 elections to the Second Chamber failed when trying to obtain the 570 supporting signatures required for admission.

Since the declarations of support have to be submitted to the respective municipal authorities in the run-up to elections, the party has repeatedly declared its intention to take legal action to obtain the possibility of anonymous declarations of support. On April 12, 2009, however, she stated that she would waive such a lawsuit, which "would cost us thousands of euros while the chances of success are minimal."

Party name

The party was founded with the abbreviation NVD, which was however legally banned in June 2006 at the request of an identical security company.

Reactions

Several political parties in the Netherlands disagreed with the PNVD's demands to legalize sex between adults and children aged 12 and over, as well as hard and soft drugs, and have openly requested that this party be banned. However, this was rejected in the first instance by a court in The Hague on July 17, 2006. The reason for the judgment was that the freedom of the establishment of political associations is the basis of a democracy.

In 2006 it became public that the chairman Marthijn Uittenbogaard was running his own blog at de Volkskrant , one of the largest newspapers in the country. This led to a conflict between the newspaper ombudsman and the editor-in-chief. The latter defended the blog with his conviction about the need for free speech, while the ombudsman complained that this blog went undetected for three months. Uittenbogaard announced his retirement in October of that year. The blog could still be accessed until the Volkskrantblog service was discontinued . Marthijn Uittenbogaard appeared in the controversial documentary Are All Men Pedophiles? to speak.

management

The leadership of the party consisted of the chairman Marthijn Uittenbogaard, the treasurer Ad van den Berg and Norbert de Jonge as secretary.

Rumors

The management of the organization is said to have had close ties with the association MARTIJN , an advocacy group for pedophiles.
