In the first edition in 2007, twelve players competed. Each of them played six matches in which one could collect points for the finals in the order 8, 6, 3, 2, 1 and 0. The games were arranged in such a way that each player had to play together with each other at least once. After a total of twelve preliminary round games, the four best players in terms of points reached the final table directly. The players in places five to eight had to play two best-out-of-five heads-up games against each other. The two winners also advanced to the final table. For every point in the preliminary round there were 10,000 chips for the final.

In mid-November 2011, a mixed game championship was held in London under the name PartyPoker.com Premier League , which Andy Frankenberger won.
