Pascal Bergamin

Pascal Bergamin (born July 28, 1979 in Davos ) is a Swiss filmmaker .

life and career

Bergamin, born in Davos in 1979, completed a teacher training seminar in Chur from 1996 to 2001 before studying film / video at the Zurich University of Art and Design ( HGKZ) from 2001 to 2005, where he obtained his diploma. His first short films were made during his studies. These include works such as Hardau or the short film Sennentuntschis Tod, nominated at the Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival . The two subsequent short films Staila crudanta (2005) and Am Galgen (2008) were also nominated for awards at various festivals (including the Swiss Film Prize ) or received a prize ( Locarno International Film Festival ).

In 2012 Bergamin directed the British independent feature film Nice Guy with Cavan Clerkin and Abigail Blackmore in the leading roles. The film premiered on July 7, 2012 at the East End Film Festival in London . Director Danny Boyle was the patron of the film festival . The film received a nomination in the category Best Feature at the East End Film Festival for Pascal Bergamin as director.

Bergamin lives and works as a freelance writer and director in London and Zurich.
