Pascal Guimier

Pascal Guimier (born July 24, 1960 in Tours ) is a French journalist .

Life

Until 1980 Guimier attended the preparatory courses at the École normal supérieure and the Lycée Henri IV in Paris.

He then studied German and Journalism (DISS) at the University of Paris IV , the University of Paris III and at the Institut d'études politiques de Paris . From 1982 to 1984 he also received training at the Center de formation des journalistes de Paris.

He started out at Antenne 2. From 1992 to 1994 he was parliamentary correspondent for France 2 in the National Assembly and in the Senate . From 1998 to 2004 he was editor-in-chief of Journal de 20 heures de France 2. Subsequently, he was editor-in-chief of France 2. In 2006, he became head of the information and current affairs department at arte . After a short time as a media consultant, he finally moved to TV5 Monde as Directeur de la rédaction in 2013 .

Guimier is married and has two children.
