The Paso Ancho (from Spanish ancho , 'broad' ) is a mountain pass on Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . At Cape Shirreff , the northern end of the John Paul II peninsula , it runs between Cerro El Cóndor in the east and Cerro Selknam in the west.
Scientists of the 45th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1990–1991) gave it its descriptive name.
