Scheme of the passage Tombs

The aisle-free passage Tomb of Clegnagh is west of Ballintoy near Ballycastle above White Park Bay in County Antrim in Northern Ireland .

It is classified as a "passage-less" Passage Tomb ( German  " aisle grave" ) because it has no corridor. In this respect it is similar to the Moneydig facilities in County Londonderry and the Craigs , Craigs Lower and Lemnagh Beg , all in County Antrim , 500 m away .

More than half of the curbs fell into the quarry. The Clegnagh Passage Tomb is one of the coastal passage tombs in the Moyle district. The small megalithic complex sits on a ridge next to a quarry. It has a chamber with two portal stones less than a meter high and dry masonry at the rear. It is covered by a thick pyramidal capstone. Three large basalt stones in the south can be the remains of a curb circle. Its location on the edge of a quarry may have resulted in the passage being removed.

Clegnagh is a Scheduled Historic Monument . The Passage Tomb of Magheraboy is about a kilometer to the east .
