The Dolmen of Craigs ( Irish Na Creaga ) are two megalithic structures that are around 5,000 years old . The Court Tomb of Craigs (or the "Broad Stone") and the Passage Tomb of Craigs. Both plants are located in County Antrim in Northern Ireland .

The court tomb

Court Tombs are among the megalithic chamber tombs ( English chambered tombs ) of the British Isles . With around 400 specimens, they are found almost exclusively in Ulster in the north of Ireland or in Northern Ireland. The Court Tomb with a gallery of three chambers is located directly on Mullan Road, 3 miles north-northeast of Rasharkin. It was used again in the Bronze Age , as evidenced by an urn . The megalithic complex still has seven bearing stones that support a large capstone that was blown by lightning in 1976. The capstone, which fell down in 1833, was replaced by the locals with the help of railway sleepers. The demolition of the hill in the 19th century destroyed a lot of evidence. The chamber was originally covered by the cairn held in place by curbs. Other similar facilities in County Antrim are located above the River Bann .

The passage tomb

The Passage Tomb is also within sight to the northeast and only remains have been preserved. It consists of an oval chamber made of eight closely set supporting stones, a large capstone. It was originally covered by a mound of earth that was removed in the middle of the 19th century. A small excavation and restoration was carried out in 1985. The memorial is classified as a "passage-less" Passage Tomb, as it has no corridor. In this respect it is similar to the Clegnagh , Craigs Lower, and Lemnagh Beg facilities, all in County Antrim .

Craigs are Scheduled Monuments . Craigs Lower and a Ringbarrow are nearby .
