content

Passion Despair portrays the Swiss Daniel, who lives in Moldova and works there as a girl photographer. With the photos of his models between the ages of 9 and 14, which he sells for sale on the Internet, he has caused great controversy. In the film he gives information about his personal situation as well as about his work. Passion Despair also deals with questions about the effect and instrumentalization of images on the Internet.

In addition, the film focuses on the daily struggle for survival of Moldovan families and life in the, officially nonexistent, neighboring state of Transnistria , where many of the models live.

In the poorest countries in Europe, marrying someone like the Swiss Daniel must seem lucky. For this reason, Sveta is very happy when her daughter and Daniel get married. Your life was very hard. Her only goal today: Your daughter Romina should have a better life.
