Passion Cross (Gut Ving)

The Passion Cross is located north of Wissersheim , a district of the municipality of Nörvenich in the district of Düren , North Rhine-Westphalia on the uninhabited agricultural farm Gut Ving .

The wooden cross with the Arma Christi in bas-relief can be dated to the year 1727 by a chronogram . The shelter and cover are new. "Adolf Kolping 1813-1865" is written on the back wall of the refuge. The cross has been restored.

Kolping was born in nearby Kerpen and was known as a journeyman's father. In May each year up to 2,500 people meet in Gut Ving and at the Passion Cross to commemorate Kolping.

The Passion Cross was entered on April 9, 1985 in the list of monuments of the municipality of Nörvenich under No. 77.
