Pastor Micha Ondo Bile

Pastor Micha Ondo Bile (* 1952 in Nsinik Sawong ) is a politician from Equatorial Guinea .

biography

Ondo Bile studied petroleum engineering in Ukraine , graduating first with a bachelor's degree and then in 1982 with a master's degree . On his return to Equatorial Guinea, he entered the diplomatic service and later rose to become ambassador to Spain and then to the USA . Most recently he was permanent representative of his home country to the United Nations in New York .

On February 11, 2003, he was appointed Minister for Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Francophonie in the government of Cándido Muatetema Rivas and held this post in subsequent governments until 2012. Ondo Bile is a member of the former unity PDGE .

After a China - Africa summit in November 2006, China made gifts of billions to African countries. Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing promised a $ 75 million debt relief for Equatorial Guinea during his trip to Africa in early January 2007. Ondo Bile then praised the "extremely good relations" with China. On the other hand, at the invitation of the German African Business Association , he took part in a business discussion on his home country in Berlin on April 6, 2009 , where he also met Federal Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier .
