Pat Halcox
Patrick Pat John Halcox (born March 18, 1930 in Chelsea , London , † February 4, 2013 ) was a British jazz musician ( trumpet and vocals ).
Halcox, who took piano lessons early and played the trombone during his military service, performed with the Brent Valley Jazz Band and the Albermarle Jazz Band in the early 1950s . From 1954 to 2008 he was a trumpeter in Chris Barber's band . He also sang one of the band's best known classics , for example Ice Cream . He also directed the Pat Halcox All-Stars in the 1970s and 1980s .
