The Patience Rocks are a group of cliff rocks west of the Antarctic Peninsula . They are 2.5 km northwest of Avian Island off the southern end of Adelaide Island .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1964 after Donald Patience (* 1941), a member of a hydrographic unit of the Royal Navy that had mapped this area in 1963.
