The CIG de Malley 2.0 ( German ice rink Malley 2.0 shortly Malley 2.0 ) is a temporary ice rink in Prilly , a suburb of the political community Lausanne in the Swiss canton of Vaud . Until the completion of the Vaudoise aréna , it was the home stadium of Lausanne HC from the National League .
history
With the announcement that a new ice rink would be built with the Vaudoise aréna , the Patinoire de Malley , which was the home ground of Lausanne HC, was demolished. Until the new ice rink was completed, the club played its training sessions and home games in the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons in the temporary ice rink called Malley 2.0 . This was erected in just seven months. The construction is 96 meters long, 66 meters wide, 17 meters high and cost CHF 10.6 million . There is space for 6700 spectators in the stands. It is the largest temporary ice hockey arena in the world. The Nüssli Group was responsible for the construction . She already built the Lena-Arena , Fortuna Düsseldorf's alternative stadium during the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 .
During the 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games , the arena will host the figure skating and short track competitions. After the games, the arena in Villars-sur-Ollon will be rebuilt.
