Patrice Talon

Patrice Talon (born May 1, 1958 in Dahomey ) is a businessman and politician , since April 2016 the President of the Republic of Benin .

Life

Talon studied at the Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar . Talon was elected President of Benin on March 20, 2016 in a runoff election against Lionel Zinsou . He succeeded Thomas Boni Yayi in the office of President on April 6, 2016. After his election, he presented his cabinet on April 6, 2016 , which was restructured and expanded in several positions on October 27, 2017. Talon has two children. He comes from the Fon people.
