The Patricia Lake is a lake in Jasper National Park in the Canadian province of Alberta near the Pyramid Lake and the Pyramid Mountain . The lake is named after Princess Patricia of Connaught , a granddaughter of the British Queen Victoria , and is located at an altitude of about 1180 m .
Along with Maligne Lake , Medicine Lake and Pyramid Lake, the lake is one of the region's tourist attractions.
Habbakuk project
During the Second World War , tests were carried out here with small prototypes made from ordinary ice for the Habbakuk project , a British plan for an aircraft carrier from Pykrete .
