Patricia Roc (actually Felicia Miriam Ursula Odeons ) (born June 7, 1915 in London , † December 30, 2003 in Locarno , Switzerland ) was a British actress .

Life

She went to France at the age of 18 to learn the language and establish contact with the arts of acting. Back in London, she trained at RADA for nine months and then accepted her first engagement at the London Ambassadors Theater. The film producer Alexander Korda saw it on stage in 1938 and so it launched in the domestic film industry.

In the late phase of the Second World War , her breakthrough to stardom, especially in the films "Cornwall Rhapsody" (1944), "Madonna of the Seven Moons" (1944) and "Woman without a Heart" (1945) achieved great success.

Her “trips” to Hollywood, however, met with far less response. The artist withdrew completely from the film business at the end of the 1950s. She was last seen in 1962 in the TV series " Simon Templar ".

Patricia Roc was married four times, including the cameraman André Thomas, with whom they had a son. Patricia Roc drew attention to herself for the last time in 1975, when she was fined 70 euros for shoplifting (a pack of bath salts and three boxes of paper tissues worth the equivalent of 4.10 euros).

On December 30, 2003, she died of kidney failure in Locarno .

family

Patricia Roc's sister Barbara Reis had been married to Fred Perry since 1952 .
