Patrick Adenauer

Max Patrick Adenauer (born October 23, 1960 in Cologne ) is a German entrepreneur .

Career

Adenauer was born as the youngest child of Konrad Adenauer (1906-1993), the eldest son of the first German Chancellor Konrad Adenauer . He grew up in Cologne with his five siblings. After graduating from high school, he studied business administration in Cologne and graduated with a degree in business administration. The doctorate followed in 1985.

He then worked for four years as a management consultant at Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co in New York and Düsseldorf. Since 1989, he and his brother Paul Bauwens-Adenauer have been managing directors of the Bauwens group of companies active in the construction business. Since 1993 he has also been their partner.

At the end of April 2005 he was elected President of the Association of Self-employed Entrepreneurs (ASU). Under his leadership, the association was renamed Die Familienunternehmer - ASU in 2007 . At the end of his term of office, he resigned from office in 2011. Patrick Adenauer has been President of the Family Business Network (FNB) Germany eV since September 2015

Memberships

Patrick Adenauer is a member of the Ludwig Erhard Foundation , a member of the advisory board of the Industrie-Club Düsseldorf and a member of the board of trustees of the German Cancer Aid . He is a member of the Senate of the German National Foundation .

He is a member of the supervisory board of the DuMont media group .

family

He is married to Alexandra, the daughter of Klaus Ulonska . The couple has two children.
