Patrick Beier

Patrick Beier (born December 24, 1993 in Meiningen ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ). In the state elections in Thuringia in 2019 , he received a mandate on his party's state list. Since then he has been the spokesman for migration policy for the Left Party in the Thuringian state parliament .

Life

Patrick Beier completed school in his birthplace at Henfling-Gymnasium with the Abitur in 2012. He then studied economics, political science and sociology at the University of Jena until 2016 . He then completed an apprenticeship as an administrative clerk until 2018 and then worked in the finance department of the city administration of Zella-Mehlis .

Party and politics

Beier is district chairman of his party in the Schmalkalden-Meiningen district and chairman of the parliamentary group there. He is a member of the Meiningen city council for his party.

From 2017 to 2019 he was a member of the state board of the party Die Linke Thuringia .

Memberships

Beier is on the board of the association "Thüringer gegen Suedlink eV". He is also a member of the "interest club Humanistic Youth Work eV" and the United Services Union - ver.di .
