Edward Francis Gleason (born November 9, 1869 in Hyannis ; † April 9, 1944 there ) was an American marksman and doctor .
successes
Edward Gleason took part in the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris in the trap part. In the team competition he took first place with the US team ahead of Great Britain and Germany. With a total of 532 points and thus 21 points ahead, the Americans, whose team also consisted of Charles Billings , James Graham , John Hendrickson , Ralph Spotts and Frank Hall , had secured the gold medal. Gleason was the team's weakest shooter with 80 points. In the individual competition, he took eleventh place with 87 points.
Gleason studied medicine at the University of Vermont and the University of Vienna and worked as a surgeon in both Boston and Hyannis .
